Grand Rapids Symphony Classical; A Night Of Romance

In celebration of Valentine's Day, the orchestra presents a program of works full of lush melodies and romantic themes. Audience members will experience a musical work inspired by the greatest love story of all time, "Romeo and Juliet." Many composers have based their musical works on this Shakespeare play, and with its beautiful melodies, Tchaikovsky's Overture to "Romeo and Juliet," is among the most popular. The program includes the popular "Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini," featuring acclaimed guest pianist Stephen Hough, marking his second appearance with the orchestra.
