Please join Pierce Cedar Creek Institute for an informational workshop on prairie grass and wildflower seed collecting techniques. This information is relevant to anyone interested in restoring prairie habitat on a large scale, as well as those people interested in native landscaping in their own backyards. Topics such as: collecting native wildflower and grass seed; cleaning/processing seed; properly drying seed; storing seed; sowing wildflower/grass seed; and ethics of seed collecting will be covered.

The program will conclude with a trip to the Institute’s prairie plantings to get some hands-on experience collecting wildflower seed. Please come prepared with appropriate shoes (no open-toed sandals please).

This workshop is limited to 20 participants so be sure to reserve your spot by registering today!
